About
Part Scan turns photos of a physical part into a metric, color-textured 3D model.
- Capture — guided camera capture on a printed ChArUco turntable mat, which sets the real-world scale.
- Reconstruct — COLMAP + OpenMVS photogrammetry in a GPU worker container.
- Inspect — a native 3D viewer with dimension measurement in millimetres.
- Export — GLB and STL downloads.
- Agent tool — agents can list scans and read their measurements.
Requirements: reconstruction runs in the Part Scan worker (Docker, NVIDIA GPU with CUDA 12.8). The worker is off by default; turn it on in the plugin settings on a machine with a supported GPU. Hosted cloud workspaces have no GPU, so reconstruction needs a self-hosted install.
InfiniBot Cloud
Cloud · some features self-hosted Runs on InfiniBot Cloud. These features need self-hosted InfiniBot:
- 3D reconstruction — it runs COLMAP + OpenMVS on a CUDA GPU worker; cloud machines have no GPU. Capture sets, the calibration board and the viewer work on the cloud.
